Job Title: Interior Design Assistant

Overview: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Interior Design Assistant will support our lead designers in conceptualizing and executing interior design projects. The ideal candidate should have a passion for interior design, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in creating mood boards, design concepts, and presentations for client meetings.
Conduct research on materials, furniture, and fixtures relevant to design concepts.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure materials and obtain quotes.
Prepare drawings, blueprints, and specifications for construction and installation purposes.
Assist in space planning and layout design under the supervision of senior designers.
Maintain project documentation, including records of design changes, approvals, and deadlines.
Attend site visits and meetings to assist in project coordination and ensure design intent is met.
Keep abreast of industry trends, products, and materials to provide innovative design solutions.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing emails, and maintaining project files.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Previous experience (1-3 years) as an Interior Design Assistant or related role preferred.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and/or Revit.
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and furniture procurement processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of construction methods and building codes is a plus.
A portfolio demonstrating design projects and technical skills is highly advantageous.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Builder Trend).
