Metro Design Build recently completed the gut remodel of our full bathroom and powder room and we couldn't be happier with the final
result. The owners Heather and Tony were very involved throughout the entire process, which is one benefit of going with a boutique firm. Our designer Kate did an amazing job bringing our dreams to life with her gorgeous design plan. Being working professionals, my husband and I didn't have time to micromanage a job site and we didn't need to worry about that with Josh as the construction project manager. He put us at ease that everything was moving along as planned and provided frequent updates and constant communication throughout the process. The quality of their workmanship and attention to detail is top notch, I have never seen such perfectly laid tiles.
When I initially spoke with Tony, I told him that we wanted our bathrooms to be something special, with a unique style and focus on design and craftsmanship - not just something I could pick out myself from a big box store. Metro helped us realize that ideal. Our finished bathrooms are not only beautiful, but more functional. It was a pleasure to work with the entire Metro team from start to finish. Can't wait to work with them again in the future for our kitchen remodel!

“We hired Metro Design Build to remodel our kitchen and basement. This process also included refinishing the wood floors throughout our entire home and a fireplace facelift. From our first consultations with Tony and Heather, I knew they were different. They responded to emails in a timely manner, they showed up when they said they would, and they genuinely seemed excited about the prospect of transforming our home. They spent over an hour in our home getting to know us, our spaces, and what we hoped to accomplish with our projects.
Heather helped me design our kitchen so that it maximized space and efficiency while making it a space that was all ours and not directly from HGTV. I was very surprised when she came over with 3 great design plans and let me mix and match them all to make the perfect space for my family. I get overwhelmed by choices and did not want to be overly influenced by social media design trends, so instead of giving her tons of Inspiration photos, I let Heather see art in my home that made me happy. Told her about colors I love and emphasized things I wanted to highlight in the space. It was great to have her sort through hundreds of cabinet knob choices, pendant lights, and other fixtures and give me manageable numbers to choose from. Her choices were spot on and she created a design that I was happy to move forward after she presented it to me. I believe that the time she took on our consultation visit allowed her to get to the heart of who I was and what I wanted- so there was not much back and forth once she presented her ideas. They were SPOT ON!
We hired Tony to handle the project management and have his construction crews work on the house. The best part about his crew is their cleanliness. Every day before they packed up to leave they cleaned up for the day. They vacuumed, took out construction garbage, made sure there were walking paths through the home. This cut down significantly on the amount of dust and chaos that carried into other parts of our home. It also made me feel like our space was respected and well taken care of. The team was very nice to my husband, myself, and our little escape artist puppy who thought he was part of the electrical team. The Metro Design team worked quickly, but the quality of the work was solid. They always listened when I had a concern or a question about the project and made sure everything was completed according to the design plan.
If you want to work with people who take pride in their work and stand by their word, look no further. They are personable, knowledgeable, and stand by their word. My home has never looked so good.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Metro Design Build. Before I found them, I couldn't get another designer to answer my emails/calls and actually work with me because my project was too small, and Heather and Tony were unbelievable. They responded right away and took on my project even though it was very small (color consultation for cabinets, picking tile for a backsplash, and installing the backsplash). They were punctual for each appointment. Heather brought creative ideas/solutions and gave me a design that I LOVE and would never have thought of myself. They answered all of my questions and were so kind and easy to work with. Then for installing the backsplash, they brought in a great tiler, who was friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. Tony came to check in on the progress and make sure it was being executed with excellence. We had a large space to tile, and the whole project was done in two days (with one tiler!). Absolutely incredible. I would recommend Metro Design Build for every project big or small. “Thank you so much for our lovely new basement. Previously the basement was just a place to throw crap into and pass through to do laundry, and now it is my favorite place in the whole house. The wall color is bright and soothing, the floors are a dream and the extra ceiling height is marvelous. The bathroom is a piece of art. The combo of the wallpaper, lighting, and wainscotting is divine. I never would have been able to make these choices without your guidance. I know this project was a pain, but the results are amazing and we could not be happier. I look forward to spending time down here every day and love having my desk set up in the basement, which is something I never could have imagined before.
