The goal for this living room refresh was to dress up this formally blank wall and add a cozy fireplace.

The first step in this refresh was to add the aforementioned fireplace.  A direct vent gas fireplace was installed followed by a limestone tile surround.  The mantle was made from custom carved stone and shiplap was added above the mantle up to the crown molding. 

Custom built-ins were installed to flank the fireplace.  The built-ins were designed to have both closed and open storage space for special items - these items can be further shown off with puck lights installed at the top of the shelves. A custom built bench and upholstered seat was added so the dogs could have a place to sit and look out the window.
