Luxe Bathroom Remodel in Lincoln Park

Metro Design Build recently completed the construction of a luxury bathroom remodel that transformed a dated space into a modern and functional oasis. The clients came with a previously completed design plan.  The project began with gutting the bathroom, which allowed the team to start fresh and create a layout that met the client's needs.

The tub was kept and vanities were repainted, but the tub deck and front apron of the tub were replaced with thin porcelain slabs that run up the wall for accent. A chandelier was installed, and the tub has a handheld shower. Chevron tile was installed on the floor, and dark gray walls were made of porcelain tile that go floor to ceiling.

The shower was installed with a steam shower with dual shower controls and shower heads, body sprays, and a handheld shower, and plumbing changes. The shower walls were constructed with natural stone tile (bardigilo), and the shower floor is natural stone tile. A built-in niche and bench were also added.

Wedi substrate was installed behind the tile, which is foam covered with felt that helps the perm rating for the steam. It doesn't absorb into the walls. A custom glass shower door was installed, and vanity countertops, new faucets, and LED mirrors were also installed.

New floor heat through the bathroom, including the shower floor, was also installed, and a programmable touchscreen wifi thermostat was installed to control the floor heat.

The final result is a stunning bathroom that is both functional and luxurious. The client is thrilled with the results, and we are proud to have been a part of this project.
