His & Her's Bathroom Remodels in Streeterville
The client for this project was a retired architect, who did all the remodeling drawings by hand. The project was to complete two bathrooms. The condo was located on the 22nd floor of a high-rise in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago. The goal of the bathroom was to make it super modern and future-proof. The couple is retired and they wanted to ensure that this can be their forever home by future-proofing their space. Design consideration was made to ensure safety.
The retired architect was very hands-on with the project and was very particular about the details. They wanted to make sure that the bathrooms were perfect and that they would last for many years to come.
His Bathroom
First the bathtub/shower combination was converted to a walk in shower. The walls are made from a marble look porcelain tile in a subway pattern floor to ceiling. The floor is covered in a very small brick joint mosaic pattern black marble. The shower fixtures are Wall mounted rain head with handheld and has a grab bar. The shower is encased in a custom, low iron glass enclosure. A Custom built in niche with 2 shelves, the backsplash is the same tile as the floor and is framed in white quartz with a towel hook underneath. The toilet: is a bidet toilet seat The vanity has an LED mirror with a modern LED sconce. The sink has a wall mounted faucet that drains into a black basin sitting on a monochromatic vanity wrapped in a white waterfall quartz countertop

Her Bathroom
This bathroom remodel was a complete transformation. The goal was to create a modern and stylish space that would be both functional and luxurious.
The first step was to remove the old bathtub and shower combination. This allowed us to create a new footprint for the bathroom, which included a walk-in shower and a conversion from a double vanity to a single sink to increase storage.
The new shower is a modern marvel, with a custom bench, black fixtures, and a ceiling mounted rain head. The handheld shower head is perfect for rinsing off after a long day, and the grab bar provides added safety. The marble shelf with hook below is the perfect place to store a louffe, and the low iron glass enclosure ensures that the shower is bright and airy.
The freestanding bathtub is a beautiful addition to the bathroom. The black solid base and modern black fixtures give it a sleek and modern look. The custom built-in niche for candles, wine, and bubble bath is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Another grab bar is installed near the tub for additional safety.
The vanity was designed with storage in mind. The previous second sink was converted to extra linen storage, and the countertop is mitred waterfall black quartz. There is plenty of storage for bathroom accouterments and linens. The sink has a black basin with a modern square wall mounted faucet. And a LED backlit mirror and magnifying makeup mirror were also installed.
The flooring in the shower and bathroom is marble mosaic in herringbone pattern that flows up the back main wall as an accent. Everywhere else in the bathroom is floor to ceiling large format marble tile. The only drywall you’ll find in this bathroom is on the ceiling itself!
